Device Preparation
Mac OS X Server Setup
Lithium uses the Apple proprietary Server Management protocols to obtain Xserve hardware and operating-system specific monitoring data. In order for Lithium to be able to do this, you MUST create a new local administrator user account in Mac OS X Server for Lithium to authenticate as or provide Lithium with the username and password for an existing administrator user account on your Server. This is due to the way in which the Apple Server Manager protocols function. A username and password for an administrator user on the server must be provided via these protocols for authentication to access the monitoring data.
You must provide Lithium with an administrator users username and password to access the Mac OS X Server monitoring data.

Troubleshooting
No monitoring data is shown.
Check that the IP address, username and password that you have provided to Lithium is correct. If Lithium not showing any monitoring data for the Xserve it would indicate that the server is not reachable via the Mac OS X Server Manager protocols. Please ensure you have reviewed the Device Preparation section of this document. You can test your IP address, username and password configuration by adding the server to Apple's Server Monitor application using the same Other Problem.
