Other models may be compatible but have not been tested.

Ports and Protocols

Lithium uses the following TCP/UDP ports and protocols when using this Device Module to monitor supported devices:

  • SNMP v1 (UDP 161)

Device Preparation

Cisco Router and Switch IOS Preparation

Lithium uses SNMP to obtain monitoring data from Cisco Routers and Switches. You must ensure that the device has been configured for SNMP monitoring and specifically that a community string has been set.

Cisco PIX Firewall Preparation

Lithium uses SNMP to obtain monitoring data from Cisco PIX Firewalls. You must ensure that the firewall has been configured for SNMP monitoring and specifically that a community string has been set and a suitable interface has been enabled to process SNMP queries.

Troubleshooting

No monitoring data is shown.

Check that the IP address and SNMP Community String are correct and that you have correctly enabled SNMP as per the Device Preparation section of this document.
